Last updated: Feb 5, 2026 Published: Dec 30, 2025 · by shahida · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Get ready to elevate your holiday snacking with these delightful candied cranberries! Bursting with flavor, they combine the tartness of fresh cranberries with the sweetness of powdered sugar and zesty orange juice. Perfect for adding a pop of color and texture to your festive gatherings, these cranberries are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate!

This recipe holds a special place in my heart as it was a family tradition during the holidays. I remember helping my grandmother prepare these beauties every winter, and now I carry on that tradition in my own kitchen. The vibrant flavor and festive feel these cranberries bring to the table are truly sublime!

    Recipe Ingredients

Fresh Cranberries: 2 cups, rinsed and patted dry for the perfect tartness.

Orange Juice: 2 cups, fresh-squeezed for the best zesty flavor.

Powdered Sugar: 1 cup with tapioca starch, for coating the cranberries to perfection.

Combine the cranberries and orange juice, cover and refrigerate for 24 hours

Strain to remove the soked cranberries

Add powdered sugar and shake until every berry is fully coated

Bake for  5–7 minutes to dry the cranberries

Tips and Tricks to Nail the Recipe

    • Make sure to rinse the cranberries thoroughly to remove any debris before using.
    • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them fresh longer.
    • If you prefer a less sweet version, reduce the amount of sugar used for coating.
    • Serve these cranberries as a festive garnish on holiday desserts or as a tangy snack!
