Almond florentines
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup blanched sliced almonds
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 100 gms dark chocolate
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the butter, sugar, honey, and heavy cream.
- Combine and bring it to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes
- Add the Almonds and flour
- Remove the pan from heat Mix everything well, making sure the almonds are evenly coated
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop a tablespoon of the batter onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them 2-3 inches apart. Gently spread it out thinly with the back of a spoon. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until the cookies turn lace-like golden around the edges.
- Place chocolate pieces in the bowl and Melt in a double broiler
- Allow the cookies to cool for 8- 10 minutes, Once completely cooled Drizzle with melted chocolate and enjoy!
